"They're named black holes because they are related to human fears of being destroyed or gobbled up," Stephen Hawking once told an interviewer. "I don't have fears of being thrown into them. I understand them. I feel in a sense that I am their master."http://nyti.ms/2FGaMJF

The nature of black holes are hugely destructive due to extreme levels of gravitational forces.Otherwise, it would be a quick transportation method for space travel! #quantum #science #SpaceForce #Nasa

You weren't their master. Just because you think you understand something doesn't mean you control it. Just try applying that thinking to people. We are all small compared to the vast universe. We wish we had control at times but it is only an illusion.

A black hole is called a black hole because due to its density and therefore intense gravity, nothing, not even light, can escape it.....it took me 15 seconds to find an accurate response for why black holes are called black holes. You'd think the NY Times could do better. 1 of 2
