Ugh. This makes no sense for inattentive type ADHD and stigmatizes the use of medication. 🙄 ADHD is not some blessing that doesn’t need treatment, it’s a huge challenge (at least for me and many I know dealing w it)

Printing this is a disservice to the majority of people with ADHD and it's dangerous.

ADHD is the wrong name. It isn't an attention deficit it is an issue with different attention priorities.. if you think of it this way this article makes more sense

Not only do I agree, but I submitted virtually the exact same op/ed to the Times last year. They passed on it because I'm not a doctor. 🙄

I'm glad that, sincerely, his son found success but it needs to be added that there is such a wide lens for ADHD especially when there are other conditions attached to it. Never comfortable w/med but my son thrives with it.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha NO. It's overloading. Executive functions breaking down make it harder to deal and multi-task, which is what a crazy world like today requires. Such a misnomer about the hyperactivity part of ADHD. Maybe 10% of cases are like this.
