Bullshit. Toys 'R Us didn't fail because of "private equity". They were doing 20% of toy sales last year, decades after Amazon started. Vulture Capitalists did this to @ToysRUs, not "failing to keep up with @Amazon".

Your report should disclose how much Bain, KKR, and Vornado paid themselves in management fees and bonuses while destroying 30,000 jobs and a valuable brand. #vultures

Over 30,000 JOBS will be lost; that should be the headline. The @realDonaldTrump Tax Cuts & Jobs Act isn’t working so good for them, is it?

That was last month. Those jobs won’t be available when the Toys workers are unemployed.

Meanwhile, after @ToysRUs filed for Chapter 11 last year, they paid their 17 top executives a total of $14M in bonuses. For a job well done I suppose.

ugh, I wish @nytimes digital subscription wasn't so expensive!! I get why. People need to make a living, but I can't justify it in my family budget. I'm missing out on quality writing, but I can get the same basic info anywhere. Wish there was a less expensive option.

They went to collapsing because of a) mismanagement and b) because creditors wouldn’t bail them out by restructuring deals

It’s not Amazons fault. Toys R Us was too expensive! If their prices were reasonable, I would have shopped there. I have two kids & one on the way. I’m all for bargains. I rarely if ever saw them there.
