For many of us who do not live in the USA, your gun laws appear not to make much sense. It’s a bit like the story of the Emporers’ Nee Clothes - everyone could see that he was dressed in his undies yet ...

So, how's the new laws legalizing the confiscation of white farmers lands going to be working out for South Africa in general and white farmers in particular? That is exactly why our founders gave us the 2nd amendment & liberals want to take our guns. We will keep them thank you!

You need social works and psychologist in schools to identify students with mental health issues. That is what we do in Ontario Canada. Before students are exspelled the should be sent for a Mental Health assessement, that probably would of prevented the Florida shooting.

I will run in the Ontario June2018 Provincial Election for Parliament. The best way to prevent school shootings kis to identify students with mentall health issues before they become shooters. Students with mental health issues need to be sent for a mental health issue assessment

This notion of "arming teachers to stop the bad guy" still befuddles me to no end. I really don't see any of my teachers just picking up a gun in the middle of class. Just...nah.

If your teachers have half a brain their gun wouldn't be in front of their students. People trained to carry don't walk around like Wyatt Earp or Jessie James. Their students wouldn't know they had a gun until they were returning fire. 1 of 2

Well, if that's the case, where would they conceal it in the classroom where it can not only not be seen by students but also pulled out quickly enough in the case of a shooter arriving?

I'll play devil's advocate for a little longer here & assume you are really asking a question. I carry on my person all day every day. In & out of everywhere I go except places that it against the law for me to do so. No one knows, in fact it's to my benifit that they don't.

You didn't really answer. I know how concealed carry works, buddy. You got some kinda holster for it under your shirt? Fancy. I still do not believe any of my teachers would be comfortable having a gun on their person in a room full of children.

I don't think the answer to this is more guns. I feel that the "good guy with a gun" thing is more of a myth than anything based in reality. Shooters plan carefully in advance and, if they get their hands on an AR-15, will simply mow the entire room down indiscriminately.
