To me, this is a great example of how the problem is not guns, but people. Rather than spending time banning inanimate objects, let’s spend it on fixing people, children, families, and our society as whole!

Apparently, you have never traveled like I have, or don’t read world news. It does happen everywhere, but more so in countries with declining moral values, broken families, and broken healthcare systems.

Spot of fake news there Menno. We're not talking about Syria, Iraq, Salvador, Brazil, Colombia etc here. The US aspires to compare with western European nations and the Stat facts totally contradict what you just said. Stabbings and violence yes, mass shootings virtually never.
-
Mike, you are correct about the shooting part, but if your argument holds true, should knives be outlawed then? Should cars be outlawed? I can provide lengthy reply, but the short is that Europe is much more different than expected. I have lived there for half my life.
-
No Menno, cars shouldn’t be outlawed. Cars provide a useful function for 99.9% of the population and have a positive impact on society. Guns do none of the above, and only have one function. You can not practice false equivalence and expect people to listen to your arguments
-
Yes, have heard that one, and to be sure, I'm not arguing for guns and don't own one. However, I would feel safer with one, with the explicit intent of never using it. Guess that would be a gun's second function then? Which brings this back to arming schools to deter shootings

3. There's a lot to fix. It's not simple. Look at the countries with the least amount of violence and you will see that they have great government programs that address basic needs and fair wages. It goes a long way toward letting parent spend more quality time with kids.

So...who radicalized her? Why didn’t her white friends and neighbors speak out?
