This headline makes it sounds like he is writing the policy. Unless they can make a TV that types, Trump isn't doing anything.

Because why not piss off our biggest ally, as well as the largest buyer of our debt?

I dunno. I really love walking into pretty much every big box store and every item has ‘made in China’ stamped on it. Globalism is bad. We have the manpower and resources to create/assemble these things but instead we have millions on welfare. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I do not have the time to give you a crash course in economics, or to address your base xenophobia in blaming outside forces for the US's domestic ills. Check out this article for what happens when you have a closed economy.http://www.businessinsider.com/how-much-products-would-cost-if-made-in-us-2016-11 …

🙄 I didn’t order a side of hyperbole. Didn’t say I wanted a completely closed economy. I’m sure Chinese labor is being paid fairly; millions of dirt cheap items on our shelves that had to be shipped across the world and people are still able to become $M’s of their backs

1.4 billion people added to our labor market and they don’t play by the same rules, seems cool. I would, and DO pay more for quality locally made items i.e. furniture items, and soon building supplies. However it’s rarely an option for everyday items.

So your argument is basically you support paying other countries laborers pennies a day so a few people can be ultra rich and we continue down the road of this welfare state we are creating? Cool. I don’t.

My argument is that big business is going to keep its business costs low in order to maximize profits by whatever means necessary. That is how economics works. Good day.

Really should be no problem applying same restrictions to China as it applies to the rest of the world ie hand over your IP if you want a license to invest
