And yet, despite the fact that a trained officer would not enter the building, people think that armed teachers would make a difference. People are not rational when they are frightened for their lives.

The coach who gave his life by jumping to protect his students had a gun at home the school didn't allow him to bring to work.

He was allowed by Sheriff to retire&receive his pension etc, Deputy should have been investigated & FIRED for dereliction of duty! Sheriff should be FIRED for lying to public about”removing” the deputy, allowing deputy to retire is no punishment for failing to act & protect kids

I don't blame him. He was hired to break up fights and keep order in a HIGHSCHOOL. He wasn't ready for that. Being alive and going to jail is better than being dead. I'm sorry, but don't blame this man.

Coward. He was there to protect students as soon as he heard the shots he should’ve been in the building.sheriff he should be fired. For not recognizing the signs when people were calling and reporting cruz. 17 people would still be alive if the FBI/sheriff had done their job!

Hi, Nancy. How would have that worked, exactly? The NRA forced a law through in FL forbidding local communities to pass any gun legislation, including Red Flag ordinances, which would have been required for either the FBI or Sheriff to seize Cruz' guns.

So... this is what the Sheriff of Broward County FL teaches his deputies to do? And then wants to blame President Trump? This Sheriff needs to be removed from office immediately. Where is the outrage for this POS???
