No that important actually. I mean if England’s National team would decline, that would be important. But, the royal family? who cares besides the english?

Anyone who believes that Russia will be in any way disappointed or hurt that the Royal Family won't be visiting should go and read some Russian history to see the lengths they went to to get rid of their own and why.

So, what did you want? Imagine how silly is it if Russia is sitting there and worrying about this circumstance, "Oh my god, what are we gonna do now?! British royal family will not attend WC in Russia! We can't start the tournament without them!"

This is actually really concerning. This isn't a spat, it's very, very serious stuff. Putin using nerve gas in British pubs and not giving a damn about the political consequences. It's terrifying.

This is so childish. The team is playing for the whole of England, including the politicians & the royals. But you're choosing not to support them. That's so pathetic. Grow up folks & keep the sporting fraternity out of your personal ambitions.
