“Going forward, no one gets paid more than the queen,” the producers of "The Crown" said. But it's too late to benefit Claire Foy.http://nyti.ms/2tKN6Oz

It's not too late. They can pay her the discrepancy today. No one is stopping them.

@netflix let me get this straight...the woman who has MADE ur show, started off on a lower pay scale than her supporting actor, then didn't even gt a pay bump when renewed for a second season because she was the reason the first season was a success in the 1st place? #ClaireFoy

In any other job, u would get a pay rise based on ur performance, regardless of whether your colleague has more experience, because it is based on YOUR experience. Sort it out @netflix. Don't be behind the times. Pay the Queen what she deserves, respect and then some..#ClaireFoy

Well this is easy. @TheCrownNetflix - sharpen your pencils & figure how much you owe Claire Foy, write her a check. Mail it to her. Claire made the show compelling & riveting with her brilliant acting. Don't pay her & see how many loyal viewers disappear. k?

That is insane. Claire Foy is the #1 reason we watch The Queen. Back pay.

I fully think that women need to be paid the same as men....but you can't compare Matt Smith's pay scale to her pay scale, it's like comparing brain surgeon to a gp. If we were talking about two well-known actors, I would be a lot more upset.

I agree with you, he was "known" before the show, unlike her. But she would play the main carcater, the heart of story. So, they should recieve equal payments at first and according to her performance get a raise, or not. And as we know, she would

But I (and probably many others) started watching the show when new to see Matt Smith. draw of viewers is why experience and name recognition should matter in acting pay scales - not gender. But yes, when her performance started to be the draw, she should’ve been compensated

Tbh I get paid 800 a month for 5 months teaching 3 English classes and could care less about actors not being paid "enough."

I started watching @TheCrownNetflix because of Matt Smith (old Doctor Who fan here) but I continued watching because of Claire Foy. They should've bumped up her pay after season 1.
