          Soooo... what is your point/or input? ... if it’s a starter job, harassment is ok? Or if your serving, find another job? I waitress so I can afford to teach! Many a times have I had to keep my mouth shut when humiliated.

          I guess my point is if you aren’t happy with the way your customers treat you quit. However most customers aren’t rapists like the thread is assuming. You shouldn’t be guilted into tipping someone because they brought your food from the kitchen, to your table.

          OR people can just stop being jerks. I was a waitress for 7 years after college. Finally quit for that 9-5 job every one expects you to eventually do. Hated it. Too many believe if it's not a 9-5 cube job, it should only be temporary. Cube jobs are soul sucking to me.

          People could stop being jerks but that’s not going to force people to tip enough for waitresses can pay their bills. 9-5 might be soul sucking but it’s stable. You can’t be a waitress or waiter and cry about instability.

          The suggestion that sexual harassment is related to a person’s rate of pay is disgusting. The FULL responsibility of sexual harassment is on the individual perpetrator, period. Sexual harassment is about power and deviance, NOT about wages. Tipped wages are NOT to blame.
