If Democrats aren't smart enough to let Republicans own this haphazard, doomed to fail, half-assed replacement of the ACA and then run in 2020 on a simple to message "Medicare for all" platform to save Americans from rising healthcare costs, then they don't deserve to win.

The Dems don’t think there is anything wrong with the ACA. The Reps know there is, but don’t know what it is. Many of their proposals (we can debate intent as author believe it’s accidental) would not solve the structural problems. Consulting w the usual experts not solution here

A lot. There is a huge risk when the federal govt seizes control of something that is constitutionally and better left to the states (ie insurance markets). https://www.soa.org/Library/Newsletters/In-Public-Interest/2016/september/ipi-2016-iss13-fann.aspx …

Taiwan spends 2.5%GDP on h/c for all citizens. They swipe card at providers and done. No out of pocket costs. We spend 16-20% & we are not all insured!

I always hear from elected officials "we can control healthcare costs through ins. Companies" so I ask " how's that worked out the last 50 years"
