        The idea from such devices is that if a high-risk prisoner attempt to escape or act out in a violent manner he could be stopped by administering a shock. The way the devise was used by the Judge is not a proper use of this tool.

        Blast! This form of punishment, is not rehabilitation which were intended in correction facilities,but more punitive measures that controls a person's behaviour. I wonder if defendants, once released from prison have a higher or lower rate of recidivism?That would be interesting

        I am against the device as it is too much power in the hands of men. Innocent people spent lifetime in jail just bc they r poor, seen guilty & lawyers assigned r 2 busy dreaming of becoming judges. We must think abt this.
