Lack luster? What did all of the other movies do if this was 2nd? Why not mention the worse performing movie and list their... you know what nvm lol
First of all, making a 3rd of its budget in one weekend isn't lackluster. Secondly, for the 1st time ever two black directed films take the #1 and #2 spot in the box office is a much better headline.
So because they both have black people in them you have to compare them?
"Lackluster $33.3 million"

#IsThatAThing
Why do you only single out a wrinkle in time (another Black film) as opposed to all of the other Films Black panther is SHATTERING

People watch great films. Black, white , purple. Etc. Black panther was marketed correctly and was inline with the times.
The #2 movie right now behind Black Panther is "lackluster"?
Oh ok. Smh!pic.twitter.com/0mZjRRHXm6
Meanwhile, Tom Cruises highly promoted AM movie made $17m opening weekend but was labelled as "good enough"? Both movies made about 1/3 of their budgets at opening & were heavily promoted...

Why is it automatic to pit these movies against each other? Why isn't the headline they beat out ALL OF THE OTHER MOVIES THIS WEEKEND.pic.twitter.com/1Mb3Y1qz3M
Whoever tweeted this bs, you are terrible at ur job. You have one job! Research and tweet it, something that requires a degree & experience based qualifications in media. Do better or someone else will. https://twitter.com/quietinthecourt/status/935395973509115904/photo/1pic.twitter.com/ag2haMyevB
Hate to say it, but the movie was bad! Went to see it last night. Bad acting, bad directing, bad story telling.
Well that is wonderful! Good for them! I did not.
We intend to see "Wrinkle," but chose "Black Panther" this weekend, as it was out first. Give us a chance!
