Okay, but let's not require this same training for regular people who want to purchase a gun...this makes total sense.

And when will they be taking this “rigorous” training? In between buying classroom supplies and making dinner for their families?

This is such complete & utter garbage. Educators do not want this. Parents do not want this. Students do not want this. When our schools are so grossly underfunded & many resources are inequitably shared, spending any amount of $ on this is absurd. #NeverAgain #MarchForOurLives

Sure, let's give them "rigorous firearm training" instead of, say, giving them time to get a Masters degree in teaching or maybe specialized training to help them recognize children who may need psychological help/counseling. Let our teachers teach and nurture these young minds.

For Christ’s sake. The teachers don’t want to be armed. The students don’t want them to be armed. Take all the money you are throwing at this and pay the teachers better.

And tell me again which gigantic gun lobbying organization will get the huge government contract for all that "rigorous firearms training"?

So, to state the obvious, now we're buying even more guns...I'm sure the gun industry is thrilled. And who pays for these guns? The school districts (aka my taxes)?

So while teachers are out in the hall shooting their pistol, who’s making sure the teachers’ students are safe? This is such an awful plan. Innocent children will be shot. Guaranteed.

If policemen with professional training shoot innocent people, what to expect with this? He sees too much action movies. The best gun is that one that has never been build.
