Kevin Zeich had 3 and a half years left on his prison sentence. His doctors said he had less than half that long to live. So he requested “compassionate release,” a provision for inmates who are very sick or old.http://nyti.ms/2tw5ZET

So conversely if a victim's family member is dying an exexution should be fast tracked so they can see the sentence carried out?

More examples of social justice ignoring the victims and juries and judges who did the right thing. If you don’t want to be in jail don’t go to jail. When you 20 ask yourself where you want to be at 80.

Our prisons are bursting at the seams & many that are in are in for drug violations and parole violations. We must develop a new perspective on justice and incarceration.

After reading the story again, a clear reasonable set of guidelines can be written. Anytime States or Federal jails release someone it's resources saved. Prisoners that are nonviolent and can be returned to a family member is good standing because of the prisoner health is smart!

I don't have much sympathy for this plea, it would have to go on a case-by-case basis as opposed to "Oh no, I'm dying." For this specific one, dealing meth is a big deal. That stuff REALLY f**ks up a person. I think drug charges should be shortened as opposed to early releases.
