Love how the author is lowkey dragging him like he hasn’t done enough by adopting the rider. What more do you want him to do, go out and single handedly crush racism and the diversity gap and erase it from history completely? Would that be enough? 🙄🙄🙄

Is there any indication that black people represent less than 13% of actors and actresses, precisely reflective of the actual US demographic?

I hope it's not diversity for the sake of it. This diversity stuff is getting ridiculous too. Black people in a movie don't represent me, I represent me. This desperation for acceptance is emetic.

Why shouldn’t people be able to hire the talent and technicians that they feel best compliments their project regardless of gender or race? Sorry Louise, I can’t use you and Thelma and Susan because I have to fit a guy in there somewhere. Love your work but one of you has to go.

the reason is because minorities have been excluded from leading many mainstream, successful shows and films. i'm not saying it hasn't happened obviously but in order to get to the point where we can judge actors based off of talent solely, we need equity and representation first
