The U.S. women's soccer team has an active union, a list of demands, and a record of success at the negotiating table as well as on the field. People have noticed.http://nyti.ms/2Fqrbld

They should get paid more! They're the only US Soccer team people have hope in, or rather Should have hope in.

The WNBA Minnesota Lynx are far more successful than the NBA Timberwolves. Should the Lynx make more?

Not really. The job isn't to win, it's to generate revenue. The better you are the more you get paid. If the USWMNT makes more money, they should get paid more. Maybe the solution is two different federations focusing on their own sport.

Association of 30 NBA teams, huge TV contract, worldwide following, and 12 WNBA teams vs 1 team each of national Men's and Women's teams. Totally different models. Each team for themselves within a greater good vs a national team. Pay them

The men's and women's teams have different models, too. The USSF financially supports the women's league. For both teams to grow, it's time to separate. Each responsible for their own growth and their own revenue.

http://www.businessinsider.com/men-women-us-soccer-player-salaries-2016-4 … FIFA fails as well. If that's the case, the USWNT should get paid more

https://www.si.com/planet-futbol/2016/04/06/uswnt-us-soccer-wage-discrimination-revenue-unequal-pay … Not sure your figures are correct, but my point remains. If the USWNT generate more revenue, they should get paid more, not the same.

If they bring in the same amount of money from viewers, fans, ads, and sponsors, then yeah, of course they should get paid equal. Hell, they should get more if they're popular than the men. If not, then not.

Want to be equal? Compete against men for a starting role on the all inclusive USA Soccer team. No more men’s team and women’s team. One team. Let’s see how far you really want to take this “equality” thing.

The Women's World Cup has better ratings for the US team than the men's. Also how are they supposed to get ratings when almost none of their international games are on TV? And neither are their domestic games.

Used to be on ESPN then moved to ESPN2 then disappeared do to lack of interest. Now it's just play offs, championships, etc.
