“I am a pawn caught between the federal and state governments, like a child between 2 fighting parents. Each is threatening to punish me if I don’t listen,” said the owner of an agricultural company in California.http://nyti.ms/2tusRo8

It's why the USA needs to split up. Too big and the media business model has left a shell of what it needs to be for a functioning democracy.

We are in the beginning of a populist age. The current system will be torn down and I believe the momentum for a split could come out of nowhere and skyrocket. I'd actually encourage Texas to force a split as well. Let federalism reflect our economic reality with fiat currency.

Ironic the very same who are complaining (CA Ag), voted for Trump. They knew this would be an issue that could hurt them, but did it anyway.

The federal government controls immigration not states. Did that clear it up.

Hire people you are legally allowed to hire. If you can't find any, raise your pay. #FixedItForYou

Even if they raised pay Americans would still not do the back breaking jobs the immigrants do.

Then lobby for increased quotas for seasonal workers. If that doesn't work keep raising the pay. Someone will eventually take the money for the work.

How much would you be willing to get paid to pick peaches in triple digit weather, filling up a crate, running to a truck to put the crate in, getting another crate to fill up.......for 8 hrs a day?

If it kept a roof over my head and food on my table it seems like a pretty good deal until I could improve my situation beyond that.

You did not answer my question, how much would you be willing to get paid, $8,$10,$12/ hr?

I think most people could easily get by for a brief period of time on $2,000 per month. If you assume you work 50 weeks per year and taxes eat up 20% of your income then that comes out to exactly $15/hour.

Crazy to vote for Trump and complain about a state law instead of complaining about ICE taking their workforce away... They should convince their Republican controlled house, senate and president to change the law and accommodate their needs.
