Kevin Zeich had 3 and a half years left on his prison sentence. His doctors said he had less than half that long to live. So he requested “compassionate release,” a provision for inmates who are very sick or old.http://nyti.ms/2G2QC9s

On his fourth try for compassionate release, Zeich's daughter received a phone call saying he would soon be on a plane home. Early the next morning, she was told he had died.http://nyti.ms/2G2QC9s

He is in prison for breaking societal norms. Too bad NYT doesn't show the same care for those lives he helped destroy. Drugs have ruined many lives in US. If he wanted to be with his family, he should have walked a better life.
