This is disgusting; Mr. Khan’s lawyers asked her why she had not chosen a more modest Halloween costume, such as “Cinderella in a long flowing gown". Why is this still happening in the justice system?pic.twitter.com/xDw0tI8fdo

image taken from What Were You Wearing exhibit...because what you were wearing is a reprehensible thing to ask and not a valid question. Should this be even allowed to be argued in court?http://www.chicagotribune.com/lifestyles/stevens/ct-life-stevens-thursday-ku-what-were-you-wearing-0914-story.html …
Blame the victim. Seriously? Did the man have no control once he saw her dressed as a black cat? If that’s the case, how did the other men at the party not manage to rape her? Trial by jury is the best we have, but it’s definitely a flawed process.
Did you read the story? It was drunken sex, but the @nytimes agenda was the pick few lines condemning the man from its own article. A jury of peers acquitted him NOT because of what clothes she was wearing!
If he was innocent, why did the topic of her clothing even come up? It’s a sexist question. Unacceptable.
Regardless of whether she was flirting with him, wore a revealing costume, or had kissed him or flirted with him earlier, doesn't mean she wanted to have sex with him. This is disgusting that a rapist gets off scott free thanks, in-part, to victim blaming.
WHAT?! In 2018

My exact reaction.
Cannot even take it anymore. Thought we were making big progress with regard to this issue
And this is precisely why we can't get any fricking justice.
Or maybe the Not Guilty verdict came back because SHE told the Plan B prescribing Doctor that she had consensual sex. Most of us were not in the jury box to hear all evidence. News articles clearly have an agenda. Still the accuser by her own words provided reasonable doubt.
Good to know plan B is available at the local pharmacy. The point being is that she told a Doctor that she had consensual sex. A jury upon hearing that, could conclude reasonable doubt of his guilty from her own admission.
My outfit doesn’t entitle any man to enter my vagina. Rape will stop when rapists stop raping....not when women have to control their behavior with our own modesty.
Outragers! Please read the article. It was drunken sex, but the @nytimes agenda was the pick few lines condemning the man from its own article which was quite balanced. Don’t condemn boys only! A jury of peers acquitted him NOT because of what clothes she was wearing!
Victim blaming again
Gaslighting....smdh
