What would he have been charged with if he verbally assaulted a male officer? As a feminist, I find this disturbing. Men and woman should be treated equally by law.

He didn't say anything offensive or derogatory to the male officers.... That's kind of the biggest point.

Here in 'Murica, we believe in having the right to be ignorant and shitty to people.

I guess the 1st amendment isn't for everybody.
-
What's that, the freedom to behave like a d*ck? And when you want to just shoot somebody, there's always the second?

The best part is him assuming he got stopped because he's brown while telling her he doesn't believe women should be cops. What a mess

Most American liberals are so deranged they want speech codes here in the US too. Enforce Groupthink and wrongspeak and thoughtcrime.
-
No, it's just called respect, especially towards a civil servants. Stop whining.
-
You dont earn respect at gunpoint. You earn fear and resentment. Nobody respects that officer more now than before.
-
In my experience, Belgian police officers are really respectful and reserved. I don't expect a gun to have had any deciding factor in this story.
-
All authority is ultimately backed up with force. Any time a person is fined, arrested etc the threat of force (i.e., at gunpoint) is implicit in the interaction. Do you think this guy would pay the fine if the implicit threat was not there?
-
Force is thuggery.
-
Not all. Force that overrides the will of one person on behalf of another is thuggery. Force applied on behalf of & with the approval of a functioning body politic is justified, so long as that body politic is genuinely in control of its governance. Law only matters when enforced
-
Force is still force, even if the ignorant whims & passions of the mob endorse it. You have no moral right to aggress against someone unless he has violated the natural rights of another.

What would have happened if he'd verbally abused a male officer? Can a woman be convicted of the same crime if she verbally abuses a male? The charge is itself sexiest and ridiculous.

So was the message "avoid interacting with women in professional spaces or where they have power because they are a protected class and you are walking into a legal minefield" Because if so, message received.
