New York Times reporter @DanBilefsky recently returned to his hometown, Montreal, to write about Canada. Next week, he begins a road trip across Quebec, and he wants your tips for where to go, what to do, and what to listen to along the way:http://nyti.ms/2I67XPt

He is sacred on the Greek island of Hydra too. They just renamed a street after him in Kamini, the village where he lived for many years. He was called the man with a guitar. Villages used to sit with him while he played.

And when he knew for certain only drowning men could see him  He said all men will be sailors then until the sea shall free them  But he himself was broken, long before the sky would open  Forsaken, almost human, he sank beneath your wisdom like a stone… L.cohen ☺

Honestly, I don't remember him brought up much when I lived in Montreal. He's definitely revered at least a little elsewhere in Canada though.

A lot of those montreal Cohen tributes are just opportunistic crap. Lose and out of tune. Not the kind of thing he would have gone for. They all waited for him to die before profiting from his creativity. Gross.
