Before Philando Castile was shot by a police officer, he was the school nutrition worker who often swooped in to pay for their lunches when they could not afford them. Now a charity is continuing his legacy.http://nyti.ms/2FjEHTL

I’m happy that there is a charity in his name. However, it still breaks my heart when I think of the story or remember the video.

#PhilandoCastile: a law-abiding citizen, generous human being. A teacher with a gun permit that carried his weapon as the #2ndAmendment allows. Killed while being black by a police officer. The @NRA never said a word in his defence. A teacher with a gun. A good guy with a gun.

Don't forget, he's someone who followed what the NRA said gun owners should do, and after he was shot, the NRA turned a blind eye to him. He shows that the NRA only cares about gun sales, not gun owners.
