Looks like he would of had a better time if he'd done his homework before hand. Some very bad planning on his trip.

I'm glad he finally had a good time, but really, he overspent on incidentals. And 4 days is never enough on a cruise.

Just did one with my family for New Years. We stopped in Key West, Nassau, and Castaway Cay as well. We left from Galveston so there were more At Sea days. It sounded like our experience was pretty darn close to the author's . You pay more for Disney, but you get what you pay for

What a waste of a piece. I read it hoping to hear Mickey isn’t a morning person, but it’s really just a boring re-telling of his family’s vacation by a grump. He comes across as unable to be happy and one wonders how he ever got past the editors.

I always liked David Foster Wallace's cruise journal of watching Jurassic Park on repeat and losing to a child chess prodigy, all with a great discussion of the concept of "self-pampering." I don't think I could do one of these unless it was a European river cruise for adults.
