NYT correspondent @DanBilefsky left Canada nearly 30 years ago. He’s back, and he’s on a road trip across Quebec to rediscover his home province. What should he see and dohttp://nyti.ms/2D2ACB5

Cabane a Sucre time!. Hit the lautentians or townships. Find a local maple syrup farm and ask to join a “sugaring off” party.

Montreal to go grab some smoke meat at Schwartz’s, some bagels at st-viateur and some poutine at la banquise. Then go catch a glimpse of the city by the lookout in Westmount. Go down St-Laurent Blvd and catch some drinks at some of the bars with the French locals

A friend invited me to join a summer trip to Lake Kipawa when I was in the sixth grade. It was incredible - beautiful, remote, pristine. I’ll never forget it. We stayed at a place called Corbeau Lodge, I think.

Appreciate if @DanBilefsky could visit Parc Safari in Hemmingford to check conditions of their 2 African elephants, and especially visit Zoo de Granby & check on🐘🐘Sarah & bull Tutume. Both zoos CAZA-accredited but neither zoo has minimum 3 elephants/herd size, and wx a concern.
