Intelligent Canadians understand these are just bargaining positions. Unfortunately, it's not intelligent Canadians in charge of the country.

Exactly. Trump is doing what he campaigned on: Canada’s inept leadership will bungle a trade deal no matter what position Trump takes.

Smartest thing Trudeau could do is stall and wait to be deposed in 2019.

The National Security clause being used to implement the tariffs is exposed as a lie. The tariffs are about boxing Canada & Mexico into an unacceptable corner. NAFTA is dead. WTO will soon be dead. Putin wins. Trump is Putin's treasonous puppet.

Wtg Donnie. An idle threat. Infra is gonna cost big time. You can’t produce steel at a decent price. Your plants are outdated. Way past best before date. Your 50 years behind. That’s why your steel is not competitive.

American Steel and aluminum are basic to our economy and security. If our so called closest allies charge tariffs and have restriction on our exports, we should charge the the same tariffs and have restrictions on their imports. This is basic economics and common sense

This man has no idea what's in NAFTA and if you don't believe me ask him to describe IN DETAIL what he opposes. He can't. Anyone else notice that his sole negotiating tactic always seems to be simply issuing threats unless he gets what he wants?
