Two things: 1) The interference is US elections are much more pronounced by corporate interests than foreign agents; 2) US foreign allies interfere much more than US enemies such as Russia; and 3) the US has(and continues) to interfere in foreign elections all over the world

Response 3) the US has influenced elections abroad, which has a track record of causing more harm than good. However, we still have the right/responsibility to protect our elections and enforce election law.

Should not throw stones, I am familiar with the saying, though I am not sure if it’s applicability. I am not in favor of interference, and decisions made in the past do not justify retribution today. It is within election law to defend elections from foreign influence.
