It’s called freedom here in America.

I’m sure all of the parents who have had their kids shot by an AR 15 really appreciate that “freedom”
Perhaps we all should have the freedom to attend a movie, church, class without fear of being mowed down by one as well? -
Heart breaking event. I will never understand the sadness of the victims But guns are a freedom. I believe this strongly as a core value. So do many others. And I'm no fan of Trump or the gop. But when the media puts gun owners in the basket of deplorables it's counterproductive
-
Gun owners aren't being put in a "basket of deplorables." One thing continually questioned in the U.S. is the process of buying a firearm. If "responsible ownership" is truly a goal, more checks have to be in place to make sure owners are - and remain - responsible.

Yeah too bad for the sheep in those 15 countries, you see we have a Constitution and a Bill of Rights that allows us to do what they can't, I'm sure they'd love to take you and 50% of your earnings so adios.
-
But they have a much better right, the right to healthcare something the GOP is strongly against for some reason, each and every one of those countries have their own forms of the Constitution and Bill of Right
-
Healthcare is a service, provided by professionals. You don’t have the right to anyone’s service. That’s called slavery.
-
So firefighters are slaves?
-
Firefighters signed up to do a job performing a government funded service. Very different. Try again.
-
So if healthcare would be government funded that would mean healthcare workers stops being slaves. By your logic. You just made a case for universal healtcare. Congratz
-
You’re a special kind of stupid. All of the healthcare providers in existence are under a private market system. Suddenly demanding their work for a fixed price under the government is forced labor. Get a clue.
-
Your lack of eloquence makes you insult people instead. You are a dilettante my good sir.

I live in one of those countries that doesn't have that 2nd amendment. I have no guns and not at all worried about home invaders, crazy people, mass shootings or an oppressive govt. It's 2018, our govt isn't coming after us citizens.
-
Let's transplant Detroit's population to Toronto and see how it goes.
-
@JimMahalek, Let's do it. Still not likely to be concerned about home invaders, crazy people or the government. Sorry.
-
Some of us live in the real world where evil people exist. You might not be concerned that a fire could happen in your house, but the moment you really need a fire extinguisher, you’ll realize the folly of your worldview.
-
Yes. Evil people exist but no one is coming into my house with a gun. Those who would can't obtain them. The illegal dealers aren't going to take a chance on selling them to people they don't trust, because it will all catch up to them and land them all in jail. Too risky.
-
You’re just wrong. Armed home invasions are not uncommon at all, and just FYI, between 89% and 97% of guns used in crimes were obtained illegally.
-
I am Canadian, I own guns, took over six months, RCMP background checks, and clean record. Canadians can and will shoot to defend their home, the courts will decide after whether it was deemed necessary to shoot. Lets be clear, I won't kill you, I will shoot you to stand trial!
