I think it has more do with the changes that were made to the Hippocratic oath in 1964. If we go back everything would be fine.

I totally support healthy skepticism from patients, particularly when doctors claim there is nothing wrong with patients who know there actually is. There are a lot of cases where it was the patient who discovered their own diagnoses.

I have experienced a couple of times that I was right and not my doctors.

“But years of clinical — and personal — experience have taught me that information in and of itself is insufficient. Judgment is also indispensable, especially in complex situations, and the capacity for good judgment rests within people, not data sets.”

IMO patients hv lost faith & confidence in doctors (dr’s). It’s dr’s who are at fault. Top 2: Incr # of patients reducing quality of care & correct diagnosis. Big Pharma financial incentives to push drugs as cures. Dr’s even admitted they’re the cause of current opioid crisis

Some doctors treat people. Some treat us like guinea pigs. Luck of the draw.

When I interned in the hospital as a medical student, I found it so annoying that some patients would rather believe what they knew on the Internet. The thing is, the information they got online was not always right, and they don't have a right understanding on medical results.

It would help if patiënts could trust doctors, but this isnt the case cause of the moneymaking business behind the scenes. Why would u take a medicine when ur Highly depressed who can make u suïcidale as side affect in return? Found in the Descreption 🙄 makes sense right?
