Trust me, no one is more upset/embarrassed than us Atlantans who have to deal with Georgia legislators who won't behave like grown-ups, but please root for us to vote them out, not to lose Delta.

We are rooting for you to pull an Alabama. But your city is just a drop of honey in a barrel of dirt . are you strong enough to single handedly fight the NRA , that's the question.
-
That is a very good question indeed. There's momentum here, that's for sure.

Hey, are there any other airports outside of Georgia in the eastern US that might want the
@Delta hub that's now in Atlanta? This might be good time to make a pitch. Oh, and@amazon, do you still think Atlanta is the sort of city you want#AmazonHQ2 in? /cc@AmazonHQ2News -
Houston is more centrally located & it’s abt to turn Purple!
-
This is not an Atlanta decision. ATL is a refreshing deep blue pool in the middle of the red hell that is the rest of GA. It's the red neckersons outside of ATL pulling this stunt.

I thought these conservatives loved the free market. Guess not!
-
Nope, nothing this Tea Party says is what they actually mean. They knew years ago their evangelical religious views were repulsive, so they adapted "weaponized lying" + a broad range of insincere, undemocratic techniques to snare & entrap innocent voters. Free market is just code

A company s/b able to work or not work/with whomever they choose. Isn't that what right-wingers say about baking cakes for gay weddings?

So sayin they no longer get discounts and have to pay same as everyone else .. means they get punished
like whos the real snowflakes here cmonnnnnn -
Holy shit. I mean holy shit!! Cagle "Delta is fine, give em the tax breaks" Delta, a private company decides (and this is your HOLY SHIT moment) to make NRA members pay what everyone else pays, (notice anything?) thus not showing affiliation to either side on the gun debate....
-
Cagle:" WHA-WHA WHAAAAT? Outrage, let's step in and punish Delta by taking away something we have granted them without problems because they made everyone pay the same" Twist things a bit more, will you?
-
Again it was merely a tax discount. By not giving it to them they are standing up for their constituents that are NRA members. I get your POV. But it isn't as if they are raising their taxes more than other airlines. Georgia is a red state. Lots of law abiding gun owners.
-
You can repeat that stuff as long as you want, it will neither make it true or the actual point of the conversation. The point is, was Delta punished for merely being neutral? If I give you food and later take it away, because I flippin felt like it, I am punishing you.
-
Neutral would be just do nothing. It's a group discount, the NRA is a group. Did they separate from any other group or just single out a group who had nothing to do with a school shooting?
-
This is not about groups affiliated with the schhol shooting but with the gun debate. The NRA ha a very clear position when it comes to the gun debate, doesn't it? And Delta was affiliated with them. Since they were not affiliated with any "anti gun group" they also withdrew...
-
From the NRA, becoming neutral in the process. Doing nothing would have meant showing support to the pro gun side.
