Correct me if I am mistaken. But, were the Hijab not a part of the Muslim religion to oppress women to keep them from showing their hair because Muslim men deemed them lesser?

that's exactly what it was created for. Somehow today's left has done the mental gymnastics and come to the conclusion that it empowers women.

Yeah, the Left seem to have some incredible gymnastic skills with making claims like that, it's like a triple backflip 720 rotation landing on their hands and doing another backflip for style.

Nope. What if I invented a religion that said I wasn’t allowed to have my photo taken? If I were arrested, would I then be able to say no to a mug shot? We all live in a society together, and should follow the same set of rules.

I'm all for religious freedom, but this is too much. Empty the room. Have a Muslim member of staff take the pic, whatever. You cannot hide your face for a mugshot.

I’m a #Muslim & I’ll call them out on their BS. If they committed crimes then they need to be treated as criminals not as victims. If they committed theft they should then accept #Islam punishment for it... chop off their hands. 😄

You don't have the right to wear a hijab when taking a mug shot. Get over it. Unbelievable, precedent this sets.

Yes, because the burka is next. How are the authorities to identify anyone if the view of their entire head is obscured?

I don't condone the apparently demeaning comments/behaviors the women endured. However, when non-Muslim women visit a Muslim country, they would be required to dress a certain way. So Muslims should expect to comply with our laws regardless or whether they are citizens or not.

Not true... Muslim countries have tourism... they don’t require visitors to dress in their clothing or cover their hair... seriously where do you get your news from ... oh wait I know FOX

No, not Fox. Try this: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/advice/dress-code-guide-for-muslim-countries/ … for one set of recommendations.

This article seems to say there are less restrictions, except in Iran, but women are still cautioned to cover up elsewhere:http://www.traveller.com.au/burqa-ban-what-should-female-tourists-wear-in-islamic-countries-10qpzk …

Wait... They committed crimes... They got arrested for those crimes... And then they successfully sued the state bc officers were trained to take mug shots without any clothing covering their heads. Liberalism is a DISEASE
