At this newly opened school in Australia, there is no homework. There are no classrooms or traditional grades. Instead, there are "creator spaces" and “pitch decks.”http://nyti.ms/2FGIHOO

Great. So now children know, right from the start, that nothing is valuable unless it makes money. #capitalism only drives growth in one direction. And that direction isn’t helping advance the species.

Or they could be learning exactly what is needed for future societies. By the time they’re in their 30s, jobs, and how they’re accomplished, will be completely changed. Even going to the doctors will be different. Schools have been teaching an outdated system for to long.

It is for a reason, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg were driven away by the conventional education and they built companies which created products and services that changed the world.

Sent both my kids to Montessori (Int’l version not American version). They had no homework, no tests (until the stupid high stakes testing), and they spent their time at school learning at their own pace in order to apply what they learned on various self-initiated projects...

I am a great fan of letting loose the creativity and spark in kids by letting them learn, explore and express openly. The current educational system of teaching kids through books, subjecting them to exams, tests and grades stifles creativity and tramples on their innate talent.
