        Then I guess the military should change its enlistment age to 21? Why can an 18 year old shoot and fight for the country DIE for their country, but can’t buy their own gun to protect themselves? I don’t know what the answer is, but it stems deeper than raising the gun buying age.

        Tami if an 18 year old needs a gun to protect themselves while home I think the issue there is much bigger than the gun purchase age

        Because an 18 year old serving his/her country gets proper training and is supervised. An 18 year old buying a gun from Walmart is NOT.
