Officials spent $31,000 on a new dining room set for Ben Carson's office in late 2017 — just as the White House circulated its plans to slash HUD's programs for the homeless, elderly and poor, according to federal procurement recordshttp://nyti.ms/2HUlWYI

The blatant greed and kleptocracy of this administration is criminal. To spend more than some families make in a year on a table, Carson should be doing pro bono surgery on it.

The fleecing of America. We are fools to believe that these politicians are doing anything but taking advantage of taxpayers to live their lavish lives. I feel terrible that our children are going to be paying for the huge amount money added to our debt to pay for this and more

HUD spox - “In general, the secretary does want to be as fiscally prudent as possible with the taxpayers’ money,”. But there are exceptions, such as this $30k table, where the secretary does not want to be as fiscally prudent as possible with the taxpayers’ money.
