I spent nearly 2.5years working for WDW. While the cost of living is much lower in Florida, much of this sadly rings true there as well. We could "joke" that never before have so many worked so happily for so little.

Full-time status was coveted but often took years to get. Without it your hours (and therefore pay) could vary wildly by week & by season. I'll admit I greatly enjoyed my job & my coworkers. The healthcare & 401k plans were above average. Free park admissions was great too.

But better pay is needed there and in so, so many industries in America if we want to prosper as a nation in the 21st century.

This article should be less about Disneyland and more about the crazy high cost of living in California. Disneyland pays above minimum wage, but they could not easily pay ppl enough to afford the average home in Orange County.

Many of the jobs are above that, but you could be right for some. Regardless, I don’t see any corporation of this type giving high enough wages for OC housing prices!

It’s a disgrace for hard working Americans to be homeless. Greed pure unadulterated greed accounts for this national disgrace. How long are we as collective citizens going to allow this imbalance of resources?

Profited 55 mill last year and Diseny as a whole gave 400 mill to non profit charities. Why not take a couple mill and pay employees better, wouldn't that make America better?

If your total value in the employment market is $11/hr then you clearly can’t afford California. There’s plenty of affordable housing in Nebraska, Wyoming and other states. It’s silly to remain where you can’t afford to live.

American Airlines, and now Disneyland, within seconds of each other on my twitter feed. This is what that mega successful Trump tax reform is all about. Billions in profits for huge corporations, and negligible change for employees. Don't let them pull the wool over your eyes.
