What's the point? I have a 401K and I know that it probably invests in gun companies. I assume it also invests in oil, pharma, chemical, car & defense companies. All provide a legal products. It is on lawmakers, & ultimately us, the voters, to decide how those products are used.

I'm investing in a 401K because I'm trying not to be a Walmart greeter or mop up a McDonald's bathroom when I'm 70. I don't have the time to research what organic cranberry farmer has the best return on investment or which is the lesser of two evils, Whole Foods or Trader Joe.

The point should be to be active & elect lawmakers who will enact sensible gun laws, promote green energy, reform healthcare, ensure we have clean air and water, expand public transport and stop selling F-35s to dictators. Now that would have been a much better opinion piece.

Noted. I'm going to review my 401k and make sure I'm not giving anything to these companies...or the very least amount possible. Defund the gun manufacturers and

With pressure on fund managers, this could change overnight.
@Emma4Change@williamlegate#NeverAgain Such a move would likely cause a huge decline in stock value. - 1 more reply

I’m dumping all the stocks that I own with the companies that are advertising that they are no longer accepting NRA discounts. Not interested in their CEO’s politics. I Invest to make money. Keep politics out of it. CEO’s work for the share holders.

I guess it's time to urge our employers to divest from gun related stocks.

Excellent, we need more good guys/gals with a gun, how else are we going to keep our children safe at home/school ?
-
The way we always have. With common sense and not adding more of the problem in an attempt to solve the problem.
-
Common sense didn’t stop Omar Mateen the Orlando shooter from killing.
-
You’re right. It didn’t. That’s why Floridians and other Americans are trying to use common sense for a federal level vetting process as the Fl legislature ignores it and passes a “in god we trust” sign for schools law. If it’s harder to get a car/license than a gun—it’s bad.
-
In Israel today teachers at school are armed, you have no idea how many massacres they have prevented. Common sense !

As some like to point out when the UK and Australia are used to counter—their situation is very different and they have strict gun regulation. They’re also in a war zone of their own creation and have debunked your argument directly.https://www.timesofisrael.com/israel-dismisses-us-gun-lobbys-inaccurate-claim-about-gun-laws/ …

https://www.washingtonpost.com do you have anything other than “what about...” to argue your point?

Have you ever been to Israel?
