It's sad that this is described as a setback for the Justice Department. It's a win for Justice.

Odd that the Trump Justice Department thinks not being able to discriminate is a "setback"

Our Justice Dept is starting to act like they believe and are enforcing Shariah law. The same bullshit they’ve been spewing we will become by allowing in more Muslims.

To be clear, this isn't a setback for the @TheJusticeDept - who, as a whole, I'm sure are more compassionate than that - but it's a certainly setback for @realDonaldTrump and #JeffSessions. More importantly, it's a HUGE win for proud LGBT Americans! #AndJusticeForAll #LiveOutLoud

Well, if the Justice Department wants to legalize discrimination based on who you love and are attracted to, it IS a setback for them.

It would be best if the Justice department didn’t try. Still, the lack of impartiality in the news today is absurd.

Well, we keep electing bigots. Session wants to lock up people for legal weed. Mike Pence wants to put LGBT people into "conversion" torture camps. (or kill them all as Donald Trump "joked" in an interview)

I think it’s this: Some folks believe when you legislate protections for a specific group, it provides an unfair advantage to that group. Example: With the Americans With Disabilities Act, some companies felt forced to change their hiring practices to accommodate the disabled.

How does preventing racial/sex/sexual-preference based discrimination giving an unfair advantage to that group? Not to mention, its still going to happen but its going to be veiled, but at least it gives some protection to people from unfair practices.
