        .@realDonaldTrump is clearly on a one-man crusade to let the rest of the world know that it is pointless making deals with the USA since they will simply rip them up when they feel like it. The USA is not to be trusted to keep their word - don't deal with them.

        Renegotiating missile testing and access to bases I can get behind, but extending the 2030 expiration dates will be the sticking point. Who the hell are we to say we know where the world will be in 2030? Let's burn that bridge when we get there if it means cooperation now.

        It is to some extent. The US can rip up the agreement & impose sanctions. But if the other parties, namely Germany, Russia, France, China and UK, aren‘t pulling along, that won‘t mean a thing.
