Apparently some people need that crap? Here’s MY opioid crisis: I’m in serious pain and often extreme pain 24/7 (back pain mostly). My doctor said he cannot give me stronger pain med and cannot give me more. So now what? Marijuana? Do I buy pain med off the street?

Exactly! But AG Evil Keebler Elf Sessions says marijuana is sooo bad! It's a gateway drug! Naw, maybe a drive thru drug, but not a gateway! Medical marijuana can positively affect lower pain levels w/o pharmaceutical opioids, BUT that cuts into Big Pharma & owned legislators $$

Yeah. I’m pissed. The only thing my doc said they will let him increase is Gabapentin for fybrobygia (symptom 1: overactive nerves - causes stinging in different areas of skin each time. Face often. Symptom 2: amplifies pain sensations).

😔 And Gabapentin causes fluid retention and balance issues.

Ah hell... it’s fibromyalgia. Yup, I’ve noticed balance off and hit retention, as well as that “fibro-fog” I heard about. I took the LSAT last year too. Couldn’t focus or go fast enough.

And the higher the dose the more fluid retention and balance issues get worse. Been there, done that, not doing it again.

Because why would we want to cut into our kickback profits by curing people?

You can’t cure addiction with a drug. And opiate addiction is like none other, which most fail to grasp. It takes a physical hold that has to be managed first. The cure is more accessible treatment options, like rehabs. Meds need to be only a part of it.

How about people just use opiods the right way and they won't get addicted.

What about them and how does this tweet apply to the story? People who are using opioids under a Dr's care don't have to take this new drug.

Why would people be taking opiods not under a doctor's care. I guess there is the problem people taking opiods not under a doctor's care.

Well.. first off they're human beings and in a civil society we care about each other and try to help others out. Second, with treatment addicts can become productive members of society again. That enough reasons to care?

Not really they squandered their life them em go. We shouldn't have to pick up the pieces of someone that messed themselves up.

As I indicated in my first point.. we're civilized and care. What about a second chance? Hell, I'm a recovering addict and my life is great and I'm a productive/working member of society.
