When I was in a school, a kid who tried this 💩 would have been stormed and beaten to death with dumbbells, by the shop teacher alone.

My PE teachers in high school were 2 of the scariest people I ever encountered. No one back talked them or the "board of education"

I think teachers should be paid an additional percentage of their salaries to be trained and armed. Or we place school Marshals in every school!l

Metal detectors and retired police would be good in schools. Only two entrances should be used. The other doors should be locked and only able to open from the inside tripping fire alarm. (I thought they did that already) Certainly, stopping entry into the school is first.

I am not concerned with the eyes of the rest off the world. You did not grow up American & do not understand us. We have owned guns for centuries & have not had this problem. The problem is not the guns or we would have had it for all the centuries we had the guns.

In Ohio they are lining up the get trained and armed. I guess ALL teachers don't have the same opinion. If someone was coming into my son's classroom I would rather the teacher be armed with a gun rather than a poem. Call me crazy but I don't think the poem is going to help.

So what are you going to do when an armed teacher breaks and goes postal? Are you guys gonna give weapons to the kids as well as answer? That is the logic with we have an weapons problem we need more weapons.

Cause that happens so often. Hey? Do you think all the other armed teachers and the armed security guards will all go postal at the same time? I bet they wouldn't so some guns would be firing at AT THE SHOOTER.

No but teachers are humans too. Some of them have mental problems so the risk is as high as a student who goes postal. And what will be the answer to that by NRA logic? You guys as a society are in an endless cycle here fueled by greed and fear and do not want to break out.

Well, I am not a member of the NRA. I dont sell guns or make guns or $ in any way from guns so this tweet is completely wrong on its entire premise. We have a Constitution. We have a 2A. I believe strongly in those rights. Greed has nothing to do with it.

I am not american, you dont have to ban guns entirely, almost not a single country in the world really does. You guys just to make sure that it is hard enough to get guns and that they are stored away in a saneful manner. My country does that. Result no gun deaths and no shooting

Over here you have to perform tests to get a license, you have to store it away register it and once registered the police comes regularily and checks that it is stored away. And military level guns are off limits. Still this system would not violate the US constitution.

The difference is, the us constitution allows explicitly to own guns and so do most countries in the world. The NRA basically brainwashed lots of people that that means literally anyone should have military grade weapons without any controls.

Teachers are people too. They have mental illnesses and fight their own demons. Allowing them to bring weapons into our childrens’ school is yet another tragedy waiting to happen. Worst idea ever.

Well said. Teachers should have a right to fight back and protect their students. People choose to use guns and kill innocents, teachers should have the means to protect.
