so we're willing to give teachers better pay if they can handle a firearm but not if they are just flat out exceptional at their job?

How can one person take something horrible and make it worse, oh wait it’s Trump never mind. How can he even think this is a solution. I am now scared!

We live in Bizarro World now. Ridiculous solutions instead of the obvious one. Ban assault weapons. I wish someone would explain to me why anyone needs one.

many good citizens use them for target shooting and hunting, and some people are collectors. Don’t condemn the 99% who are not mentally disturbed...

Do you know the reason 2nd Amendment came alive? It was relevant for a few years around birth of USA, after that, no relevance. I'm not judging but you don't need to have armed citizens in a normal society.. I think it's a change which will come. Has nothing to do with freedom.

I find this idea completely contrary to education goals, not to mention it's unsafe and downright inane. As a former teacher, I can vouch for the enormous responsibilities of handling students and their varied academic and emotional needs.
