Opinion: Free speech may make us uncomfortable. As well it should. Discomfort is not injury. An intellectual provocation is not a physical assault. It’s a stimulus. Over time, it can improve our own arguments, and sometimes even change our minds.http://nyti.ms/2GBwRF1

To all media and adults: Plz support, encourage and nurture these kids who are championing gun safety measures. Don't abandon them. It's going to be a long fight. @NRA @GOP @realDonaldTrump don't give up the blood money without a bloody fight. Retwt & spread the word, plz.

Great headline. Fully agree 👍🏻 I just wish this kind of open, unbiased reporting would’ve been used when discussing Hillary during her campaign. Hypocrisy at its best but here’s hoping for a better future for all!

So why does NYT, most major universities, @washingtonpost, @cnn, @nbc, @cbs, @abc and all the rest of liberal media try to shut down Conservative Americans who are not for your socialist Saul Alinsky type of America that liberal, socialist progressives dream of. Why is it...

I'm a liberal, but this whole being offended by everything and we must stop it is too over the top! Free speech comes with a price - the price that you may get offended once in a while!

Free speech with facts would certainly increase acceptance. However, attacks from hate is a pathetic attempt at free speech

We must never lose the power of debate, disagreement and compromise to get to suitable solutions. Worry that we have been in the UK.

I’m British born and raised and if you watch our Houses of Parliament ‘debate’ they scream at each other like petulant children. I agree with what you’re saying completely but society as a whole is guilty of losing the art of debate.

I agree. People prefer no news to bad news and mute or no-platform others with a different opinion.

I’m new to Twitter. For the most part of my life I’ve not really paid attention to global politics. Until your last election, and I was hooked, shocked that a developed world democracy would elect trump... but there again, you didn’t! I really feel your pain ✌🏻❤️ #peace&love
