Only because the French and the American judges scored the Canadian pair noticeably lower than all the other judges! Politics still involved in ice skating!

Yeah let's not mention the Canadian judge being Skate Canada's president, her inflating the Canadian pair's score while also giving the French pair their lowest scores during both Short and Free dance ;) and btw, there was no French judge during the Free Dance.

jesus fucking christ the president of the french federation was fucking caught cheating at the 2002 olympics. he broke the ISU's rules. and you have a problem with the canadian president being a judge? seriously?

What kind of logic is this? Because others did it, you should do it too? LUL. I don't have a problem with the judge being Skate Canada's president but with people whining about other judges while their representative clearly wasn't impartial as a judge.

My point is France shouldn’t be complaining when the president of their figure skating federation is a known cheater

The author is a bunch of sour grapes with limited knowledge of ice dance who needs to stay in their lane. I am not surprised this is coming from an American publication considering the American judge on the ice dance panel was one of the judges who gave VM one of the lowest marks

And are you a ice dance judge? Not! If this had happened to our Canadian team same rules apply ..skate on...best you can and win or lose. Tessa and Scott were clearly more technical in their program which is progression in all figure skating i.e.: now quads being mandatory ! 🇨🇦

LOL, ignore the #canadianhaters they whine ad nauseum about being gypped by judges #poorsports Agree with you, while V/M are very talented, Papadakis and Cizeron are ethereal and transcendent! Their record breaking free dance was technically superior as well as artistically.

LOL, so true! If you do not worship their athletes, they hate you. There really should never be Canadian judges, because it's impossible for a Canadian to be objective. They still hate on Davis & White, whining that they were robbed. And that was FOUR YEARS AGO #smh #getagrip

This kind of thing is bad sports personship. There are any number of things that can happen, a fall, a costume malfunction. They’re all a part of the game. It wasn’t their year. Disappointing I’m sure but making it seem the Canadians weren’t deserving, nope
