Compare the damage an AR-15 and a 9mm handgun can do to the human body: “One looks like a grenade went off in there,” says Peter Rhee, a trauma surgeon at the University of Arizona. “The other looks like a bad knife cut.”

Interestingly, The Virginia Tech killer of 32 counting himself used a 22 pistol and a 9mm pistol...just saying.

What is a bump stock? Something passed under the Obama Administration.

The bullet from an AR-15 does a different kind of violence to the human body. It’s relatively small, but it leaves the muzzle at three times the speed of a handgun bullet. It has so much energy that it can disintegrate three inches of leg bone. “It would just turn it to dust”

Compare the number of deaths associated with AR-15's and a 9mm handgun. One is responsible for 92% of firearm deaths, one is responsible for less than 2%, including all long rifles.

Great, so let's ban handguns too. Life in prison if you're caught with one.

I'd be more than happy to ban handguns - people can keep their shotguns and long rifles. Attack the source of the problem, not the one that is most recent.

Banning this should have happened after Las Vegas shooting. Now we must ban assault weapons again. This action is needed, but very late.

Oddly, the bump stocks on guns pictured in Las Vegas hotel room were on bi-pods...they don't work on bi-pods.

Reduce the velocity of AR ammunition to 1500 FPS and bump stocks stop working. Reducing AR velocity would greatly reduce lethality and still allow folks to enjoy range time. A compromise.
