I think many agree it's long past time to 'call BS' on the Second Amendment.

I’m a gun owner. I grew up where guns were and are a part of life. I believe in the controlling of who is allowed to purchase and support a more robust caring for our mentally ill. Your talk of confiscation and an ending of the right will stop all progress towards those goals.

and probably a bot...

There is no such thing as an unfettered, unrestricted constitutional right. For example, the First Amendment is subject to defamation laws, time&place restrictions, etc. "Because the NRA says so" isn't a sufficient basis to grant special status to the Second Amendment

Man wants to kill someone. Goes to buy a gun. Has to wait. Cools off after a day. Day 10 gets angry again. Picks up his gun. Murders intended target. Or, man trues to buy a gun. Has to wait. Goes to shady neighborhood. Buys gun. Completes task.
-
If you people can’t wait 10 days to buy a firearm you probably shouldn’t be allowed to have one at all

BRAVO to the Supreme Court to allow states to pass and enforce laws around this very politically charged issue.
-
I disagree. As a responsible owner I fully support a broad set of baseline laws for the purchase and ownership of guns. I’m good with waiting periods, 100% background checks for non antique and a national data base of those that not be allowed. States can go farther if wanted
-
Just Joe, I agree with you 110%. If the federal government refuses to act, then states have to step up to try and bridge the gap.
-
We have to demand that our Federal Elected representatives establish an actionable and enforceable set of minimum standards. If individual states want to go farther, fine. Legislation not Confiscation combined with meaningful mental health care.
-
Just Joe, I agree 110%.
