Scott Hamilton is a class act. “I calculated once how many times I fell during my skating career — 41,600 times,” he said. “But here’s the funny thing: I got up 41,600 times.” Anyone who ever feels like quitting should read this mans story. Inspiring story NYT.

@ScottHamilton84 @NBCOlympics HUGE mistake replacing Scott. Tara is unwatchable and knows nothing. #bringbackscott #figureskatingismorethanjumps

Have you heard her make a single comment about the required elements besides a jump? Listen to @TanithWhite with the pairs. That’s somebody who knows her sport. I stand by my comment. #bringbackscott

She does. I also competitively skated for 15 years so I stand by mine. And Tanith is great.

We agree to disagree:-) And I meant ice dancing, not pairs when referencing Tanith.

Poor decision @NBCOlympics ... you replaced him with Weir who has never been a champion and can't speak coherently.

He was US National Champion twice. The title literally has the word champion in it.

@ScottHamilton84 is better. He *is* figure skating. Won't be the first bad move NBC has made.

Scott Hamilton is fantastic in that role...Weir is just WAYYYY over the top and top flamboyant which takes away from the skating etc.

Well said. My thoughts exactly. With Scott Hamilton, Tracy Wilson, & Sandra Bezic, it was always about the skaters not the spectacle of the commentators. NBC may have some new fans but long time fans are looking for other places to watch figure skating.
