Should have been sentenced for ' Nine Lives' as these terrorists have beaten even the cats. Wonder what people get by harming and hurting others for no valid and sane reason ? Just insanity.

Look at that, a successful terror conviction, and he didn't even need to be held at Guantanamo for 30 years.

Not true. Firstly, he didn't kill anyone. Secondly, the death penalty often takes an entire lifetime on death row, costing taxpayers even more due to countless appeals.

You got me, “rest of life” was slight hyperbole. Should have said many years, even decades. My point stands about the monetary cost.

No doubt that plays into it but there's other causes too undoubtedly. It's a shame that so many people think that just killing terrorists will actually help to end terrorism: the fact that we're killing these people sons, brothers and fathers and also destroying their homes is y.

Have you met many Muslims? The vast majority don't support reckless killing of innocents: about the same percent as Christians. What does affect them is seeing their father crushed by a building, toppled by an American drone's explosive, their daughter eviscerated by the US army.
