One easy solution, to this particular case, would be to avoid breaking the law.

You fail to understand that bail is paid prior to any determination of guilt.

No, I absolutely understand. I provided a common sense solution to a system in place. What’s yours? Abolish bail altogether?

You pay bail before any trial to determine guilt. What is your advice for anyone wrongly arrested who can't afford bail?

You only have to pay 10% to a bail bond, and then if you show up for your court dates you don't owe anything. So, yeah, if you're innocent it's fine.

So. And crimes are unfair to the victim

Bail is paid prior to any trial that determines guilt. As such it is unfair to those who did not commit the crime and are poor.

Ok, lower bail for all . Equal protection under the law

It should at the very least be proportional to income. Bail bonds should not be a thing. They are predatory.

So in other words a judge is legislating from the bench. Ever hear of separation of powers?

It's not "legislating from the bench" just because you don't like the ruling.

Yes it is. Got a problem with the CPL? Go through the legislature. Separation of powers.

Seems the current bail system has created paupers' jails in our country. Recently went through this in my area. A $200 traffic citation can quickly become several thousand dollars in court/jail fees, not including attorney fees.
