    What's a biathlon? Cross-country skiing. Plus periodic shooting.http://nyti.ms/2G86pmq

The men and women of this sport have to have total control over their bodies ... it's like a the skiathalon except along with racing all out you have to stop, get your heart, lungs and muscles to calm down and sync up so you can shoot and hit a target regardless of wind!

        It isn't "a biathlon". It's biathlon or a biathlon race/event.

What a silly thing to say. No biathlon nation would even entertain turning this into a political or gun control issue.

I know i know. That kind of talk should be saved for the minutes after a mass shooting.

This is a professional sport. It isn't about politics at all. None of the biathlon nations have a massive problem with mass shootings like the US. Try to understand that most people in the world don't watch biathlon because of the guns. Stop making everything about Murica. JFC.

As a matter of fact most biathlon fans enjoy the sport because it needs a lot of discipline and mental strength next to athleticism. Basically the opposite of giving access to weapons to people with mental problems & domestic abusers. And a lot of fans are "lefties".

How can I criticise you making it about politics without talking about politics? You're just trying to deflect from my criticism because you don't have an actual argument.

Your compelled feelings to criticize me without the creativity to do it without violating your own critism makes you a person who is debating themselves. I hope your winning.

Imagine that… nobody was shot either. Hmm I guess guns don't kill after all and it appears as though shooting is a legitimate sport. Now that that's all cleared up maybe the media could stop demonizing firearm owners with outright lies and misinformation?

Only if you want to talk about how a person gets access to such weapons and how to keep these save. Think security background checks, psychological tests, storage in vaults and so on. All the nitty-gritty paperwork.

Nobody (at least not over here in Germany) is demonizing responsible gun owners. There's no denying that there's a lack of supervision, background check, control and security standards in the US. This is not misinformation. This is not a lie.

How many are in urban areas? How many are by law abiding citizens? How many are gang or drug related? How many are in self defence? Yes they can be reduced. The cities with the highest LEGAL gun ownership have the lowest crime/shootings.
