HINT. Ask a romance author, you know that billion dollar industry that finances the rest of publishing. :)

We could look to them, and classical composers could look to nursery rhymes, but that's not really going to help.

And it's not just romance writers who need to write good sex scenes. But, you know, I did my due diligence research. The only question you have to ask is: Does it advance the plot or reveal character? (Or, if writing comedy, is it funny?) If the answer is no, it doesn't belong.

Lemme fix that lede for you: "A literary writer’s tumescent member is a reader’s risible euphemism." Romance writers are damn good at writing about sex. Pity you won't actually ask one of us about it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Read Roman erotic poetry. Describe it by not describing it. Sebastian Faulks "Birdsong" has incredible sex scene in it.

Start reading more fanfiction and you'll see how readers respond to the more graphic scenes.

it's about writing FEELINGS, not actions. If you write the actions, it sounds like an Ikea manual. It's the feelings that make your scene steamy hot.

Apparently you have not read
@DianneDuvall@RebeccaZanetti or Kresley Cole, J.R. Ward or Diana Gabaldon...... These ladies know how to really steam a page up. You have a lot of good reading to catch up on /shakes headThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Ask someone with premature ejaculation issues. I'm sure they could tell it quickly. No tricks needed.
